The first time I heard this, was on Family Guy. And I was like “what the …. is this for real … no they didn’t”. Eventually, I decided that this was one of Family Guy’s pranks, where they take something and exaggerate it until it’s barely real. It turned out, this is not a joke, in fact, it’s much worse in reality:

X-Wing accident during WW2
For me, the most amazing thing about Star Wars is, how it is still around after 30 years. Sure, there have been the new (old) episodes and weird animated series, but what people are still referencing is the old stuff. Why is that? Because. it’s simply brillant!
As far as I’m concerned, nothing else had such an impact on modern (pop) culture. Fascinating!
And by the way, this is not the blog post you’re looking for ….
